The ProCombi Q (quasi-sine model) is suitable for most installations, where you would use a microwave, fridge, hair dryer, vacuum cleaner, kettle, computer, etc. The ProCombi S (sine wave model) is required for sensitive equipment like washing machines or bread makers.
If you purchase a ProCombi Q and find it can't run certain equipment due to the quasi-sine wave and need a pure sine wave, Sterling Power offers an upgrade policy where you can exchange your unit for the sine wave version with just the cost of the upgrade and shipping.
